St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner and it will be celebrated again this year in London in the middle of March. St. Patrick’s Day is traditionally an Irish feast which is always celebrated on 17th March each year since the early 17th century because Saint Patrick is one of the patron saints of Ireland.
The St. Patrick’s Day is not only celebrated in Ireland but in other countries as well including England. So this year on in March a huge celebration is waiting for everyone in London. Every year there is a huge parade on the Sunday that is closest to St. Patrick’s Day and this year it will not be any different either.
This year the St. Patrick’s Parade will be held in London on 15th March 2015 at midday and the parade will pass the most iconic spots in the city including The Ritz, Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square and Whitehall. Apart from the parade there will be St. Patrick’s Day Festival as well in Trafalgar Square on 15th March from 12pm to 6pm.
It is a perfect chance to get to know the Irish culture and traditional dishes on the food market a little more and there will be also various children’s activities and Irish dance performances as well. St. Patrick’s Day is celebrated all across the city so be prepared to the best Irish parties in the different bars and pubs in London.
