As his original name Peter Gene Hernandez was born in Honolulu and from his early ages he has deal with music. He had big support, because his parents deal with music too, his mother was a hula dancer and his father play on drums. He told in 2010, he got the biggest influence from his Hawaiian origin and his musician family.
After the end of secondary school he moved from Hawaii to Los Angeles, where he founded his song writer-producer office, the Smeezongtons with Philip Lawrence and Ari Levine. The trio wrote top hits for example to Travie McCoy, Adam Levine, Flo-Rida or the Sugababes. The smashing came after B.o.B.’s song, the “Nothin’ on You” and Travie McCoy’s song, the “Billionaire”. Both songs reached top ten places at several points of the world. His first album, the Doo-Wops & Hooligans released in 2010. At the Grammy Gala of 2011 he won the award in the best man pop singer category because of his song, the Just The Way You Are. His newest album, the Unorthodox Jukebox which released in 2012 has a huge success too.
