Maybe the name Manet is not familiar to everyone, but those who love beautiful paintings have for sure heard about the masterpieces of this talented painter.
Édouard Manet was born in 1832 in Paris. He was well known as a painter and a graphic too. He was a great figure of the age of the border of realism and impressionism. His two works, The Luncheon on the Grass and the Olympia impressed the later artists who invented the impressionism. Especially he painted still life, portraits and nude pictures. His last big creation, A Bar at the Folies-Bergère, which was made in 1882, was a huge success and it deserved the Légion d’honneur. Manet in his last years painted flower still life. His health got worse and finally he died in 1883 in Paris.
Between 26 January 2013 and April 14 2013 in the capital of England, London, in the Royal Academy of Arts opens a wonderful portrait exhibition about Édouard Manet’s most famous arts. The exhibition arranged Manet’s thematically. Visitors could see more than fifty beautiful paintings, which obtained from public and private collections.
