Who doesn’t know the famous singer, David Bowie? The English gentleman became famous as an unconventional musician, actor, music producer and songwriter, who always changed his appearance, because of that he deserved the nickname, the chameleon of pop. Do you want to know more about him? Well, it is your time, because in the capital of England, London, in the Victoria and Albert Museum there will be a David Bowie exhibition which will show a life career.
David Robert Jones was born in the early 1947 in Brixton. Bowie’s career started in 1969, and three years after he tried to make more success as a glam rocker, Ziggy Stradus. The Ziggy-age’s lifetime was only one and a half year, and after that was the start of Bowie’s American career, after he wrote with John Lennon the popular song, the Fame, which reached the first place on the EP list. David Bowie was registered to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996. Bowie sold 136 million albums, and he is one of the richest artists of the British pop music. He reached the 39th place on the Rolling Stone magazine’s list as one of the 100 greatest artists of the world.
The exhibited pieces in the Victoria and Albert Museum will show Bowie’s every ages’ hand wrote lyrics, dresses, pictures and videos to the visitors. Those who are interested in rock music, this is a must see program in London! Do not miss it between 23 March 2013 and 28 July 2013!
