Normally people call Paris the city of lights. However the capital of England doesn’t stay behind. We don’t talk about the lights of the night even though those are great as well. In 2013 the Hayward Gallery in London host a fantastic light exhibition between 30 January 2013 and 28 April 2013.

The speed of the light is almost impossible to prevent. We need it in our daily life, and not just for eyesight, but for life, for good mode, for almost everything. This exhibition shows the light through spatial sculptures and installations. The strong, colors and duration of the light are very important parts of this exhibition. There were more than twenty artists, who worked on this show, which occurred in many places. Just some names: David Batchelor, Carlos Cruz-Diez, Olafur Eliasson, Dan Flavin, Ceal Floyer, Jenny Holzer, Ann Veronica Janssens, Anthony McCall, François Morellet, Iván Navarro, Katie Paterson and Conrad Shawcross.

Ice Age exhibition in British Museum

History is an interesting science for everyone, because who isn’t interested in what happened 10, 20 or 10,000 years ago? David Bowie exhibition in Victoria and Albert museum

Who doesn’t know the famous singer, David Bowie? The English gentleman became famous as an unconventional musician, actor, music producer and songwriter, who always changed his appearance, because of that he deserved the nickname, the chameleon of pop. Do you want to know more about him? Well, it is your time, because in the capital of England, London, in the Victoria and Albert Museum there will be a David Bowie exhibition which will show a life career.

David Robert Jones was born in the early 1947 in Brixton. Bowie’s career started in 1969, and three years after he tried to make more success as a glam rocker, Ziggy Stradus. The Ziggy-age’s lifetime was only one and a half year, and after that was the start of Bowie’s American career, after he wrote with John Lennon the popular song, the Fame, which reached the first place on the EP list. David Bowie was registered to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996. Bowie sold 136 million albums, and he is one of the richest artists of the British pop music. He reached the 39th place on the Rolling Stone magazine’s list as one of the 100 greatest artists of the world.

The exhibited pieces in the Victoria and Albert Museum will show Bowie’s every ages’ hand wrote lyrics, dresses, pictures and videos to the visitors. Those who are interested in rock music, this is a must see program in London! Do not miss it between 23 March 2013 and 28 July 2013!

Who doesn’t know the name, Pablo Picasso? The famous Spanish painter was born in 1881. He was one of the most outstanding artists of the School of Paris, namely the non-France artists who work in Paris. He was a significant figure of the avant-garde of the 20th century. People can hear about his scandalous love life, but he was more famous about his work. Everybody heard about his different color ages. Haven’t you seen Picasso’s works in real life? Well, it is your time! But where? Of course in London!

You never get bored in the capital of England, London. This is the city where always there is a happening. But, because we don’t want you always hear about the Royal Family, here is a great program opportunity. The exhibition of Pablo Picasso’s work is in the Courtauld Gallery between 14 February and 26 May. The interesting thing in the exhibition is the paintings are not from the whole life career, they are just from the early ages.

Poster Art 150 exhibition in London

Poster Art 150 exhibition in LondonOn January 9th they celebrated a very important day in the history of the London Underground, because this was the day of the Underground’s 150th birthday. This honor the London Transport Museum made an exhibition name by Poster Art 150.

Why was necessary to build the underground? On the 19th century people from different points of the country went to London on the early morning. Almost everybody went with train, but lots of people used car, taxi or horse carriage too. Because of that there were loads of traffic jams, which made hard the life of working people.

The exhibition separates to six different class the issued posters. The first class shows old maps and etiquette posters, the second one shows celebration nights and sport events, the third one shows cultural posters, the fourth one shows outgoing programs, the fifth one showed the operation of the Underground and the sixth class shows the most beautiful London landmark pictures to the visitors.

Imagine that you and your family, friends or you love visit England, walk around the famous capital, London. Visit the London Eye, the beautiful Thames River, the Buckingham Palace, the Tower and everything, what you want. And do not miss to celebrate the birth of London Underground.
