The exhibition ‘Indigenous Australia, enduring civilisation’ will be shown at the British Museum from from April until August in 2015. This is the first major exhibition held on the history of the Indigenous Australia in the whole UK.
The exhibition will show a wide range of objects which allows the visitors to have a overall picture on the civilization and the culture of Australia. The culture of Australia continued for more than 60.000 years and it still gives home to rainforests, rivers, seas, islands and urban areas. Nowadays in Australia several indigenous groups live across the whole country and each of them has their own culture and language. The exhibitions displays a selection of the perfect examples of the practical objects which are essential for survival. Apart from the most important tools for survival there will be plenty of other objects shown at the exhibition including the magnificent works of art as well. Many of the exhibited objects have never been on display before so this will be the very first time visitors will have the chance to see them.
The exhibition ‘Indigenous Australia, enduring civilization’ will take place at the British Museum in London from 23rd April 2015 to 2nd August 2015. Tickets for the exhibition for adults cost £10 and for children it is free.
